Light-Controlled Perturbation Tools
Perturbation tools that allow us to interfere with biological processes are essential tools to study the interconnection of these processes. It is important that such tools act with high spatial and temporal precision and light offers a uniquely powerful way to do so. In our research, we focus on generating light-controlled perturbation tools for areas of biology where such tools are currently unavailable. We use both synthetic and protein-based approaches.
